Inspector General

Mission

The National Board of Emergency Care Certifications provides services to organizations and agencies that conduct emergency care education/certification programs for health care providers. In the United States, these programs are traditionally based on the most current published clinical recommendations and peer-reviewed medical/scientific literature. For CPR, ACLS and PALS certification programs, complete adherence to the recommendations of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) is required.

To foster standardization and consistency, NBECC provides individual program evaluation, and official certification of those programs that comply with nationally accepted, current standards.
